| The day after tomorrow, coldfyre, Circle K and I will be heading out on the open road. We're taking a road trip to Larwence, Kansas to see the closest stop of MC Frontalot's first tour, and probably play D&D in the hotel room (or CoC if Coldy doesn't get the D&D stuff together. ^^) We are awesome. (Also, this post is entirely redundant to exactly two-thirds of the people who even MIGHT read this. SO KVLT) | |

I'm leaving on road trip to go see my cousin's graduation in El Paso, and I guess other places. Update when I get back, probably.

- Listening to:Peter Escott - Private Plateu
Normal stupid boring things have been going on, but I won't bother talking about them. More interestingly, I got two CD's in the past two days. Yesterday I went to Albums on the Hill to see if they actually had any Melt-Banana besides a little plastic placecard, and by golly they did! So I ended up getting Cell-Scape, their newest album. It's pretty rocking, though I don't think it's quite as good as Charlie. They're really close, though. Then in today's mail, I recieved Missing Planet by Peter Escott (aka Ukuhawa, aka Nice Pete, and aka musically Revolutionary Fervour). I've only just finished listening to the whole thing, and it's really fantastic. Yeah, that's pretty much the whole deal... Hopefully the GG Triad'll be able to do stuff tomorrow night... Also, for saying that, I'm officailly the biggest fucking loser ever.

| Today was my father's birthday. We didn't really do much outside of going out to dinner, which we did at the Boulder Cork. I'd driven by there occasionally, but I didn't guess from the outside that it's actually a pretty nice restaurant. I got some special with a filet and salmon which was good. It was nice to have a conversation with my parents, which I suppose I don't do often enough. I'm kinda excited about turning 21 next month, since I'll be able to get booze a hell of a lot easier. What sucks is, I'd like to go out drinking to celebrate, but Coldfyre's gonna be off at some fruity weird hippy thing (a "rainbow gathering," fer chrissake), and Kelly doesn't have a driver's licence. Sean's apparently busy working, and he's probably still up in Greeley anyway (I'm not all sure). So I'll most likely have to go with my brother, who admittedly knows more about drinking then anyone else I know. | |

Arr, did stuff yesterday with Kelly and Coldfyre... not much extra to say about it except that Full Metal Gokudo had the best ending to any movie ever. From now on, if I like the ending to a movie, I'll compare it to that... and I doubt it'll measure up. Only other interesting thing... after dropping off Coldy I had to piss, so I stopped at King Soopers. The amusing thing was that there were some people screwing in the back seat of their car right in the parking lot there. They didn't even bother parking off where other people wouldn't be; they were right in the front by the doors and stuff. I got a bit of a chuckle out of that... it should also be noted that I didn't actually go to sleep yesterday and have now been up for over 30 hours... HOORAY

Probably a bad sign that my Livejournal revival starts off with two posts of just memes, but this one's doing the rounds with all the cool kids so I thought I'd give it a whirl. What you do is, start Winamp or whatever you use to listen to music, put every song you have on your computer in a playlist, put it on Random, then list the first twenty songs it plays, no matter how embarassing.
1. Chrono Trigger the Brink of Time - Outskirts of Time 2. Fraggle Rock - Opening Theme 3. Destroy 2 - 24h? 4. Raimuiro Senkitan - Sora no Mukou (op) 5. Chrono Trigger - Epoch's Theme 6. Jon Brion - Walking Through Walls 7. Princess Army Wedding Combat - Untitled (25) 8. Niel Young - Heart of Gold 9. Buggles - Video Killed the Radio Star 10. Trigun - Blue Funk 11. Sailor Moon - Theme (techno remix, sung in German) 12. Schoolhouse Rock - I'm Just a Bill 13. Beatles - Sun King 14. "Weird Al" Yankovic - George of the Jungle 15. Revolutionary Fervour - Sober 16. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy - Zoot Suit Riot 17. Jethro Tull - Aqualung 18. Destroy 2 - Ax Hx F. O. 19. Destroy 2 - Maybe Bull Shit 20. Squirrel Nut Zippers - It Ain't You
Would've been nice if there'd been some Melt-Banana in there... Still, LUCKY FOR ME there's only a few songs up there that are really embarassing... I'll leave figuring out which ones they are as an exercise for the reader.

Truly an online quiz totally awesome enough to rouse my Livejournal from it's slumber:
..).... ...e... ....... If I were a NetHack monster, I would be a floating eye. I see and sense absolutely everything that happens around me. I just don't do very much about it. Which NetHack Monster Are You?
I guess now I'll start updating again... Also, I wasn't gonna put this quiz on here, but the result was just too awesome (and hilariously accurate) to resist...

You're Lolita! by Vladimir Nabokov Considered by most to be depraved and immoral, you are obsessed with sex. What really tantalizes you is that which deviates from societal standards in every way, though you admit that this probably isn't the best and you're not sure what causes this desire. Nonetheless, you've done some pretty nefarious things in your life, and probably gotten caught for them. The names have been changed, but the problems are real. Please stay away from children.
Take the Book Quiz at the Blue Pyramid.
Funny enough, that's been on my nebulous, ethereal list of books to read for a long time... unfortunately I always completely forget any of them when I'm looking for a new book. Right now I'm reading A Man in Full by Tom Wolfe (only just started, but good so far), but when I finish that I should be able to remember this. So yeah, now updating again, I swear.

My journal is still not dead. As usual, I'll update again wen I feel like it. Right now I'm just relaying an incredibly exciting (for me, at least) news blurb from the latest EGM. I'll just copy the whole thing right here and hope not to get sued by Ziff Davis (unlikely):
Will Nights Fly Again? It's been eight years since Heros director Iizuka created Nights Into Dreams, a Sega Saturn title that's legendary among hardcore gamers. Will its purple harlequin star ever return? "I know that there are very strong, loyal Nights fans out there," says Iizuka. "I promise that as long as I'm with Sega, I will create Nights agian...the more I hear from the fans about their love for the game, the more reasons I have to consider it as my next project."
Well, fuck YEAH, brother! A new Nights game!

61.904761904761905% of me is a huge nerd! How about you?
From what I've seen around, that's pretty high. It's a tough test! Anyway, I've been feeling better (even before I took that test) and things are going pretty well. Anime Anonymous (dumbest name ever) started up again Friday, and it was nice, but they'd somehow gotten WORSE at messing stuff up and taking really long. Still, they showed the ボンクラーズ episode of Azumanga Daioh (fav. episode, fav. show), which offset it enough. Then we went to the Video Station and rented Fist of the North Star and the Star Trek TAS volume with the Lucien episode (we just had to see it again). I'd only seen a few random bits of FotNS, so it totally blew me away. It was just freakin' awesome, dude. Especially when Kelly said "I'm hot for Ken!... He's so big!" That was fucking great. Coldfyre got tired characteristically early, so we had to save Star Trek for later. Saturday, Kelly was characteristically difficult to get a hold of, then when I just went to his house to try killing and/or kidnapping him, I found out he'd just been screwing doing stuff with the Vespa Woman. Since that wasted the WHOLE DAMN DAY (GEE THANKS K-KUN (OH C'MERE, I CAN'T STAY MAD AT YOU)), we did stuff Sunday (it being a three day weekend and all). We went to Kelly's house and watched the Star Trek, which was as awesome as before. Then we watched the second disc (I can't believe I typed that as "dick" at first) of Risky Safety, which, oddly enough, had a neat Star Trek refrence. Afterwards, we watched the Planet Jackson thing from Ultracity 6060 (I wish I could find some of those!). We all played Chu-Chu Rocket! for a while (which was sweet, I hadn't played in a long time), then K-kun and I played Project Justice. As usual, Coldy didn't play, but just complained that we were. Blah blah blah. Since then not a whole lot's happened (partly because not a lot of time has passed). As I am wont to do, I stopped a game I was in the middle of (the RE remake), and went back to another game I'd done the same for earlier (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time). Anyway, PoP is totally sweet... I don't know if it's the BESTEST GAME EVAR as some people are saying, but it's definitely way up there. Uhh... I printed out some bumper stickers for my car... this classic one from Penny Arcade, this Azumanga Daioh one I threw together, and one of those oval ones with a letter representing a country, but for the ancient land of Hyrule. I think they're hella tight. Oh, one more thing! Have you gone to Metroid: Zero Mission's Official Info Page at Nintendo.com? You should, there's some screenshots and nifty gameplay videos. From the description, it sounds like it'll be more than just a spiffed up remake of the original Metroid, more like the "full story" that wasn't conveyed by the first game. Oh, and it comes out in only THREE WEEKS.
